Rietumaustrālijas galvaspilsētā Pērtā policija nošāvusi 16 gadus vecu zēnu, kurš ar virtuves nazi iedūris kādam vīrietim mugurā, vēsta BBC.
Zēns steidzami tika nogādāts slimnīcā, kur vēlāk nomira. Viņa upuris, ar kuru viņš nebija pazīstams, esot nopietnā, bet stabilā stāvoklī.
Policija atklājusi liecības, ka, iespējams, jaunietis tika tika radikalizēts tiešsaistē.
“Šobrīd šķiet, ka viņš rīkojās individuāli un savu nodomu vadīts,” sacīja Rietumaustrālijas premjerministrs Rodžers Kuks.
Rietumaustrālijas policija paziņoja, ka sestdien vēlu vakarā saņēmusi zvanu no pusaudža, kurš viņus brīdinājis, ka plāno veikt “vardarbīgu rīcību”.
Policijas komisārs Brančs preses konferencē pastāstīja, ka dažu minūtes vēlāk tika saņemts zvans par to, ka Viletonā, Pērtas dienvidu priekšpilsētā, “pa autostāvvietu skraida vīrietis ar nazi”.
Trīs policisti ieradās notikuma vietā un sastapa 16 gadus veco jaunieti, kurš bija bruņojies ar garu virtuves nazi.
Pirmie divi policisti izmantoja elektrošoka ierīci, bet, kad pusaudzis turpināja tuvoties, trešais policists izšāva šāvienu, kas nogalināja 16 gadus veco jaunieti, sacīja komisārs.
Pusaudzim esot bijušās “sarežģītas problēmas” un viņš vairākus gadus bija iesaistīs pretradikalizācijas programmā, kuras mērķis bija cīnīties pret ekstrēmistiskām ideoloģijām.
